Unexpected Energy - Mood Swing Lounge

You know how it is: lovely day, go for a walk, cresting that small hill & suddenly there's a cloud, a gust of wind, a deep chill cuts into you ... and it's weirdly energizing. It makes you want to run to the top of the hill & then roll down, ending up where you started, breathless & laughing. Now *that's* some unexpected energy, and also the essence of Spring.

This is another occasion when I went back to that SXSW set of sessions from early 2018. I heard a song amongst the hundreds that just aggravated me beyond words. Was it her voice, the lyrics, the attitude--WTH was it? But before I could answer those questions, I realized I'd started to crave that sound, couldn't hear it enough.

The song was Aldous Harding's “Horizon” and this session charts the moment when disdain turns to obsession & all the unexpected energy that comes along with that transition. So let's channel some of that energy ... join me?
