It's remote, it’s still, it's icy ... Or say, rather, that It's private, it’s placid and it's enticing even though you know without going in that it's very VERY chill ... The Winter Pool: somehow it's relaxing just to be around it, maybe because you have the place to yourself, making this the perfect time to just kick back and relax.... Just as soon as you stop shivering.

In the course of this session, you'll hear selections from DJ Krush, The Warheads, Black Rain, SinQ, Afternoons in Stereo and Cinematic Orchestra. All these tracks seem to me to have good jazz bones, regardless of how they are fleshed out -- and this tendency is beautifully modeled by the seed track from Scrimshire / Matthew Halsall that opens the mix. Downtempo represents via work from Chris Coco, Monte La Rue, Boozoo Bajou, Blank & Jones, and others.
