Mamihlapinatapei: in Yagan, it signifies “the wordless yet meaningful look shared by two people who both desire to initiate something but are each reluctant to start.” Ya, we're trying to have a connection here w/o actually committing to it … trying to admire w/o wanting to possess … trying to create w/o breakin a sweat … trying to seem like we really just don't care about the outcome and therefore can't be disappointed.
