The overriding point about this set is how gorgeous most of the music is ... that and the bigbig bottom end the mix rides on, including a couple of nice subbass window-rattling moments that pop up here and there.

Equal parts sweet slow sexy music and pressing urgency, this is quality tunage, magnified by smooth transitions and the occasional 'third music' achieved in the process. Most of these tracks are from the dusty back-end of the crate; if you stick around til the end of this mix, you'll appreciate the wrap-up with Tanita Tikaram's smoky 1995 hit "I Might Be Crying" and the eerie track that gave this mix it's title, from Laurie Anderson's 1994 release, Bright Red.
