Description
The right to petition government for redress of grievances is the right to make a complaint to, or seek the assistance of, one's government, without fear of punishment or reprisals. In the United States, the right to petition is guaranteed by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which specifically prohibits Congress from abridging "the right of the people...to petition the Government for a redress of grievances".
As this particular July 4th rolls around it seems especially appropriate to keep those rights in mind while spending your holiday (if it *is* a holiday for you) in safe and happy celebration; trust in JAH and keep your powder dry.
