Black History Month - Alternative Downtempo, NuSoul, R&B Revival

February was Black History Month. You knew that, right? Yeah, I hear ya -- how could you not?

But I was down with the flu or whateverthehellitwas, and so most of Black History Month passed me by as I lay on the couch, coughing and sniffling. But I'm back in action now, more or less, and as the month shuts down, I offer up my own appreciation for the celebration.

The seed track from HNNY, Cheer Up My Brother, was a surprise I found in the Lucky Sun guest mix I posted while I was down for the count; the rest of the set followed on from there, including favorites from Projections, Boozoo Bajou, Nightmares on Wax, Seal, Stac, St. Germain, Black Jazz Chronicles, Jon Kennedy, and many more including the Jaydiohead mash-up that closes the set.
