Hijac is a DJ and producer from Barry, Wales. After releasing his debut single, which gained recognition on Annie Nightingale's BBC Radio 1 show, he immersed himself in the queer club scene of London, while releasing singles through various labels. His music draws inspiration from the experimental pop wave led by icons like SOPHIE and the rhythmic sounds of Darker Drum-focused genres.
Hwyrnos (‘late night’ in Welsh) kicks off with an unreleased glossy pop demo from hijac’s duo project ‘Big Softy’, and then the mix transitions through a selection of his favorite trance, techno, and hyperpop tracks, including a few of his own productions.
