Tuesday 24 March. The UK has gone into lockdown. Millions are told to stay home to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. Alongside millions of others across the world, people are faced with previously unimaginable changes to their daily lives. What’s it like adjusting to this new reality? How are those sheltering in place coping? And how are key workers faring on the outside? Unlocked: The Podcast talks to people in the midst of the lockdown, checking in on how their lives have been affected and what they’re doing to keep smiling. Inspired by the mantra that we are ‘alone, together’, the podcast hopes to provide a patchwork of voices from a variety of people whose situations may differ but whose lives have all been touched by the crisis. It aims to unlock the stories behind the lockdown, reminding us that we remain close, even when apart.
