Hi, Good People! I am back with my second instalment of the Nu Cool Lounge series for 2026! This project is once more inspired by word-associated songs, this time, the connecting word is “LAY.” Expect a blend of the underplayed and a spotlight on quality, feel-good grooves. Soulful storytelling from Bobby Womack, funk, disco, and boogie flavours from Sylvia Robinson, Logg feat. Leroy Burgess, production from the legendary Patrick Adams. There are quality funk-soul selections from Conway and Temple, and the late, great Barry White.
There are soulful gems from Angela Winbush, Toni! Tony! Toné!, Shirley Murdock, and Al Green; with a touch of smooth jazz courtesy of one of the UK’s finest keyboardists, Oli Silk. The journey culminates with UK future soul and R&B singer-songwriter Sam Wills and closes with Will.i.am and Terry Dexter. Ease into the grooves and let the vibes flow.
