Hi, Good People! Happy New Year! I sincerely hope you had a fab time over the festive season. I am back with my first instalment of the Nu Cool Lounge series for 2026!

This project was inspired by the idea of linking each track through the word “Girl" or "Girlfriend". As usual, there is a mix of underplayed soulful, jazzy, and funky gems alongside personal favourites. The mission is always to spotlight quality, feel-good grooves.

Expect to hear Latin jazz–fused and soul-jazz selections from Karen Ramirez, Paula Santoro, Farnell Newton, and UK soul flavours from Kenny Thomas and Shaila Prospere. Plus, funk-soul gems from Luther Vandross, Fatback, and lesser-known yet hugely talented bands like Madame X and Stone.
