Inspired by deep dives into Soul, Funk, and Jazz-Funk from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and 00s— still riding high on the glorious UK sunshine and soaking up every ray of sun before it fades.
This set carries the usual hallmarks: music chosen for its quality, sound, and feeling. Once again, I am spotlighting lesser-known but exceptionally talented artists, balanced with a few familiar favourites to keep things interesting. The aim? To curate a memorable blend of the underplayed and unexpected—yet satisfying.
Expect a kaleidoscopic journey of soulful, jazzy, and funky grooves—from legends like Chic, Cameo, and Aurra to the more obscure Paz and Vibraphonic, plus the renowned Candy Dulfer, Kem, and Pieces of a Dream.
