Ricky Nevar spinning a sneaky cool “Don’t fake the Funk” rhythm/beat/sound/style originated in Los Angeles, California. Bumping his sound through California and New Zealand beaches, right into the high rise loft parties of downtown Los Angeles and crazy summer pool parties of the desert Coachella music festival and beyond.
His style is cut of a Los Angeles indie dance/electro, Latin, hip-hop and deep house scene, but not limited to be defined by them. He is always expanding on technique and scope of music to put smiles on faces, claps on hands and most important happy feet on the dance floor. Ricky has a deep respect and love for funk, Latin beats, rockNroll, and all genres of music whose beats and rhythm can be borrowed to get bodies moving.
(I'M BACK FROM NEW ZEALAND! THANX BRITOMART1885, SUGAR BAR AND THE LUMSDEN FOR HAVING ME. HOPEFULLY I GET TO SPIN FOR ALL YOU AGAIN VERY SOON. "R.N.")
