On Friday 10th May I returned to my favourite place in Berlin. @ClubGretchen is a very special venue. Lars & Pamela have been running the venue since 2011, and prior to that they ran the legendary ICON. Forever celebrating the musical fringes of Berlin culture, and hosting many community events in addition to club & live performances, they have been carving out a special place in local music culture, as well as getting very involved in local politics & activism, standing up for the community and culture against a wave of Gentrification.
We did this as an early gig from 8pm-2am as an experiment, and it worked really well. Still nice & busy, with proper vibes and energy, and the added bonus of sleep! Massive thanks to Jim, Lorien, Lars, Pamela, Go, Julian, André, all the venue staff and crew & everyone who came down and enjoyed the night.
