Mr. Scruff - Hot! Festival, Bergen (September 2025)

3 hour mix from Hot1!fest in Bergen. I played an opening set from 7-10pm (most people arrived after 10pm) The room was very sparse for the first hour or two, but I went in nonetheless. Not every gig will be packed & vibey, but after an amazing cinematic 7 hour train journey from Oslo to Bergen, and an afternoon spent hanging out with the Skatunlyd crew sound checking on their beautiful PA, It was lovely to get into the zone and play some deep rootsy, spaced out gems on that massive system. In many ways this set almost feels/sounds like a radio show. The energy picked up gradually over the 3 hours, and we had a nice dancefloor by the end of it.

Thanks to the older heads who came down and reminded me of my last gig in Bergen over 25 years ago!
