Description
A 4 hour closing session on the Forest Stage from the wonderful We Out Here festival. Aroop Roy played for the first 90 mins, and then we went back to back for the rest of the set, aided and abetted by the original smile factory MC Kwasi & the mega soulful Vanessa Freeman on vocals. I have to admit that I didn’t realise just how good a DJ Aroop is until we played together here. Very technically skilled, and musically able to move in any direction with ease. We had some uncanny telepathy going on, and it was a privilege and a pleasure to play with him. Hopefully this is the first of many times that we share a DJ booth! Vanessa & Kwasi lifted the vibe and brought the whole family feeling together. Massive thanks to Aroop, Kwasi, Vanessa, Ralph, Barney, Neuron crew on the sound & lights, We Out Here staff and everyone who got involved!
