Both The Hedonist's http://www.mixcloud.com/perfectvibe/black-lives-matter/ and PJL's http://www.mixcloud.com/playjazzloud/pjl-sessions-134-revolutionary-spiritual-jazz-vibes/ are powerful musical statements about what has happened in Ferguson, Missouri, USA with the Police killing of Michael Brown and the riots that followed but also are reflective of the general anger, helplessness and desperation felt by many oppressed communities, when faced with officially sanctioned Police brutality, killings and the fact that the Police involved always seem to walk free.
It seems Martin Luther King's 'Dream' has not yet come to pass, even with a Black President in the White House.
Here in Australia Aboriginal Deaths in Custody continue to plague our system and the incarceration rates for Indigenous Australians far outstrip those of other communities.
