I like to keep it funky, laidback and like to mix classic funk, golden era hip hop, new edits and some classic soul tracks together.
Not all mixing is perfect, it's on the fly, unpracticed and I just go with the flow as I dig into my record bags to keep the mood upbeat and funky, while people are eating, drinking, chatting and hanging out.
There is no dance floor in this venue and I keep the music focused on the groove.
