Recorded back in 2013 during one of my gigs, this is Part 1 of a 2 part all vinyl live set from my music archives.
Listening back to this mix, I realise that I was attempting to combine my Jazzy Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Acid Jazz and Funky Jazz LPs into a mix to tell a story about the impact of Jazz on so many other genres and artists. I was also attempting to create a mood, similar to what 'The Rebirth Of Cool' series of releases had created for me as I listened to them when first released in the 1990s.
I hope you enjoy this exploration, that takes us back 7 years.
