This is my 127th All 7” Vinyl Live Dj Mix, but it’s not about the numbers, it’s about the passion I have had for this format since I was first buying chart singles back in the 80’s as a teenager.
I have never been the type to only collect rare and expensive 7s and usually buy what fits into sets, builds my collection in particular genres and that I can access and afford.
Like all my mixes, this is a one take live mix, includes mistakes and lots of changes in genre and for most of the mix I let the tracks ‘breathe’ as I move between and across genres.
The mix features tracks I have not yet catalogued and added into my collection, tracks that have not been in a mix before and some new ones that I have collected. It features originals, edits, bootlegs, mashups and just damn good records, I’d not buy them otherwise!
