Lately, I've started recording my live Dj Sets again, especially those at bars/pubs/clubs where I have held residences for awhile. The idea is to give an overview of what I play in each venue, to give you a taste of what you may hear on any given night and to allow the listener to get a feel of how I build a set during the course of gig.
This is Part 1 of a 6 hour set I played at Wonderland Bar, Windsor, Melbourne, Australia on Sat 21 January 2017. The set was from 7pm - 1am and when I started it was bright sunshine and warm (the bar opens onto the street through multiple doors and windows, with lots of outside seating).
Hence I opened with a reggae set, that featured both contemporary tracks and some classics. You'll find lovers rock, dub, roots rock reggae and electronic reggae sounds in this section of the mix. It was more about blending tunes cleanly here, not really the quick mix for the dance floor.
