I was lucky enough to be in Perth, Western Australia last week playing a whole bunch of dj gigs and one of the highlights of my week and something that I was very much looking forward to, was accepting the invitation to appear live in the Studio at Fremantle Radio for 'The Soul Purpose Radio Show' hosted by Teaking and Jim Peas on 14 February 2015.
This is one hell of a funky show, vinyl only and has been going strong weekly for over 7 years now. I've listened to it a bit when I can and have always been inspired by what the guys play, their deep knowledge of what they play and how laid back they are about it all.
It was great to finally meet them face to face, spend time with them during the show and during my week in Perth.
We played strictly 45s on this one and stayed within the bounds of funk and soul, with some Latin deviations.
