Recently I had the pleasure to host my good friend Dj Honey who is now Los Angeles based, when she visited Melbourne briefly.
I was lucky enough to get us booked into the fabulous LB's Record Bar on Monday 23 March 2026 for a night of Soul & Jazz 45s from slow heartbreak jams to uplifting dance floor fillers.
As always Dj Honey played an incredible set of original 45s and got the dance floor pumping.
I thought before I put away the bag of 45s I played that night, I'd record them over a few sessions.
I start real slow here with some of my all time favourite Soul 45s.
I'm no deep collecting purist though and my set consists of originals, reissues, first time on 45 and some edits.
I buy what I can afford & can find & have no bias if it is not an OG pressing, I buy them to play in my sets, not for their perceived value or rarity.
I love these records & loved playing them for DJ Honey & her friends and I hope you enjoy them also.
