This set was recorded live on 1 February 2018 at my weekly Thursday night Dj Residency at SPQR Pizzeria in Melbourne, Australia. This is Part 2 of a 3 hour set, featuring a mix of some of my favourite contemporary Funk and Soul 45s.
It's a small wood fired Pizza place, holding about 60 people seated and is quite an intimate setup with me playing directly to people seated in front of me. So no dance floor and big tunes but the volume is at a good level where you can talk but the music is at the forefront.
I've been playing there for a year now and really enjoy it and it being a strictly 45s night, I try to change it up each week by mixing different genres, theming particular nights and adding new 45s each week to the mix.
