Recorded live during a 4 hour dj set on a very rain soaked Melbourne Summer day on 3 December 2017 at the Cellar Door by the Public Brewery in Ringwood, Melbourne.
This is a big room with very high ceilings and has a mix of a bar, relaxed seating around both big and small shared tables and a restaurant and mezzanine level.
It's a very chilled Sunday affair where people come in to chat, meet friends etc. No dance floor, no pumping music, just background sounds at a good volume, so people can still chat.
For me, playing a mix of contemporary Soul music best suits the environment and feel of the room. It's a great chance as a dj just to stretch out and play music that I don't always get a chance to and to blend tracks, rather than mix them.
