This is a eclectic mix to say the least and is representative of the vinyl I have added to my collection over the past year or so. It's all about the blend, build up, come down and journey throughout that this music delivers the listener.
It starts with my favourite hip hop artist of the moment, Lando Chill, before straddling Robert Glasper, De La Soul, Kutiman and the Afro sounds of Mop Mop and Renegades of Jazz before the Jazzy House of Skinnerbox and Souleance and closing with masterpieces by Kamasi Washington and Modified Man.
All of this music is relatively new and for me encapsulates the beauty, pain, joy, funkiness, soulfulness and jazziness of my life and the world around me.
