Recorded live at Hawker Hall, Melbourne, Australia on 17 July 2019, this is Part 4 of a 4 hour vinyl only set of some of my most favourite soulful and funky hip hop album cuts.
For the last 1 hour of my set, I take the bpms down a bit and let the Soul flow as the restaurant starts to empty.
This is a Dj residency I play every 2nd Wednesday of the month in a big dining hall, so it is not about rocking a dancefloor or keeping it at a party shaking level but about stretching out and providing a musical background for people to eat and drink to.
I don't plan these sets but go with the flow and mood and what appears next in my record bag.
This is not about mixing and cutting but tracks, flow and blending.
