As many of you know for the past 12 months and 14 Episodes of The Black Heat Radio Show, I have been delving ever deeper into jazz and jazzy hip hop and that has especially come about since I discovered (quite by accident) the Millennium Jazz Label out of London and especially their Jazz Jousters collective. Over the past 12 months The Jazz Jousters have been so prolific they have collectively released 21 albums, each dedicated to a particular Jazz Artist. To say that I have been inspired is an understatement, these releases and those of the individual artists that form the Jazz Jousters , have changed my radio show, my dj sets, and made my ever deeper and deeper journey into Jazz a personal quest.
This brings me to Bones The Beat Head. It's a strange thing but I've only just realised that most Jazz Lps I have bought since I first started listening to Bones are piano based and driven, strange huh but after listening to this mix of Bones' tracks, you'll see why I blame him for this!
