Recorded live during a 3.5 hour Dj set at SPQR Pizzeria, Melbourne, Australia on 26 May 2017, this set is from my weekly Thursday night 'Mr Lob 45 Throwdown' gig.
This set is all about Roots Reggae, Ska and Lovers Rock with some newer 45s inspired by these original sounds thrown in. The set works it's way through some of my most loved Jamaican 45s, in the comfortable surrounds of SPQR's wood fired pizza restaurant.
I have loved Reggae ever since first hearing Bob Marley coming out of my step brother's boombox back in 1982-1983 and have collected bits and pieces ever since.
I'm playing while people eat and drink and bringing some sunshine to all across these 44 tracks.
