Continuing with my 'Producer Series' where I delve deeper into the music of the individual members of 'The Jazz Jousters', this time it's the turn of SmokedBeat from Montreal, Canada.
Both as part of the Jazz Jousters and as a contributor to some fine releases such as the Pure Dopeness series, The French Touch Connection and his own solo album 'Smoked Moods' amongst other releases, SmokedBeat's music is just beautiful.
His use of delicate intros, vocal snippets, rolling drums and strings brings a downtempo feel to his trip hop jazzy grooves, that draw you in and have you floating along and for me this is ok.
