As American streets and cities burn and the President calls governors cowards for not firing on and arresting protestors, rather than dealing with the unending violence and racism that drives this anger and rage and the disparities that cause crime, in Australia 432 indigenous people have died in police hands since 1991 (https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2020/jun/01/deaths-in-our-backyard-432-indigenous-australians-have-died-in-custody-since-2008?fbclid=IwAR0dJbmrOv9m628UFSSxG4JHVfJGm86nfRo9MW5IKL1mWvi0IxNpjGoyIoY).
I am angry and in despair about this and at times feel helpless to affect change other than in myself.
I plead with you to stand up and be counted, to shout and scream for justice, to vote, to write your politicians and to organise.
May you all be safe and I wish peace upon you and yours.
