I'm a music listener, collector and dj of many tastes.
While I have carved out a small name for myself as a funk, soul & hip hop dj, who mostly plays vinyl and 45s particularly, I have also played hundreds of gigs and released lots of mixes that feature Afrobeat, Reggae, Jazz, Latin, Jazzy Hip Hop, Boogie, Disco and lately even sounds like soulful house, mixed with gospel and funky and jazzy house.
I make all my mixes live and for this mix I pulled out my old Denon MC4000 Controller and hooked up Serato.
As part of being a fastidious collector of music, both vinyl and digital, I am also a compiler of music playlists in my Music Library and sort individual tracks into folders for later use. Some I never get to, others I am finally reaching, like this one, this is what I call 'House-Chill'.
Whatever the sounds are actually called matters none, I just know how they make me feel and at the moment my life has been turned upside down, so Chillin At My House is what it is...
