DJ Moneyshot - Ninja Tune's Solid Steel Radio (07 JULY 2003)

In honour of the 25th birthday celebrations for Ninja Tune's Solid Steel, here's what I think is my first ever mix for them from 2003(!). I went on to be a lot better (honest), and even become an actual resident on the show, where I now sit pretty with my other big dog cats.

It was all done on two shonky decks with real actual vinyl, recorded on a Mini Disc and posted (in the mail, no less) to DK, who put it on while I was on holiday in Greece with a four or five missuses ago girlfriend. I was naturally delighted when I checked my email in a flea-bitten cafe in the midday sun to see my mix up there in such hallowed company.

OK, enough jibber-jabber. Sit back and witness the embryonic stylings of what now is considered world class mixtape making!
