1982-2022: 40 years. A life, so far, for my beloved missus. For her recent birthday I gave her the gift of this mixtape. It cost me nothing, apart from my time. Which was weeks. All I asked of her was to tell me a favourite song from each of the years she's been alive. She did. And picked out pop, rock, D’n’B, old and new rap, house, and ska. I did my level best to make sense of the selection, and chart a mixed up musical journey across four decades of her bestest bangers. She’s let me upload it here for you to enjoy.
