Mindcontrol represents the bass culture especially Jungle, Drum & Bass, and Breakbeats since the early 90s. He began playing sets featuring breakbeat and hardcore misic in 1994 before fully immersing himself in the world of Jungle and Drum & Bass in the mid 90s.
Influenced by 80s Synth-Pop, Soul, Funk, and Hip-Hop, Mindcontrol developed a distinctive style that blends emotional atmosphere with driving energy. His sound ranges from deep and atmospheric to uplifting and euphoric, driven by rolling breaks, warm basslines, and a keen sense of musical dynamics.
In 2017, Mindcontrol co-founded the "Bright Soul Music" crew with his longtime associate DJ Faironne.
Mindcontrol stands for musical depth his sets fuse nostalgic Jungle vibes with modern Drum & Bass influences, creating diverse dancefloor moments defined by atmosphere, character, and soul. Played as support act for artists like LTJ Bukem, Nookie, Makoto, Seba, BCEE and many more.
