Making waves in all sorts of ways, Lakeway proudly calls London-based drum & bass label Med School his home with his distinctive and versatile sound that encompasses grime, jungle and footwork elements. Albeit early in his artistry, the Exeter-based producer has struck a chord with some of the scene’s biggest names, impressing the likes of label boss London Elektricity with his electrifying technical DJing ability.
A myriad of original productions, bootlegs and exclusive cuts has seen Lakeway stand out against his bass music peers. Initially releasing on the esoteric and experimental Diffrnt Music, it was here he found the home to hone his craft.
Only in his early twenties but Lakeway has already performed at the iconic Fabric nightclub, graced BBC Radio 1 frequencies with an exclusive guest mix, and received support from the leading dance music authorities DJ Mag and Mixmag.
