Description
The Rolling Stones, formed in London in 1962, are among the most influential and enduring bands in rock history, renowned for pioneering a gritty, rhythm-driven sound that shaped hard rock. The classic line-up; Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts, evolved under manager Andrew Loog Oldham, with Jagger and Richards emerging as the primary songwriting force. Rising during the British Invasion, they achieved global success with original hits such as “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Paint It Black,” alongside landmark albums including Aftermath, Beggars Banquet, and Let It Bleed. Despite line-up changes, including Ronnie Wood’s addition and Watts’ passing in 2021, the band has remained a dominant live and recording act, releasing Hackney Diamonds in 2023 and Foreign Tongues planned for 2026. With over 250 million records sold and multiple industry honours, they are widely regarded as one of the greatest musical acts of all time.
