Sandy Denny was a celebrated English singer-songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of Fairport Convention, a pioneering British folk rock band. Hailed as the pre-eminent voice of her genre, she briefly performed with Strawbs before joining Fairport in 1968. After departing in 1969, she founded Fotheringay in 1970, then pursued a solo career. Between 1971–1977, she released four acclaimed albums: The North Star Grassman and the Ravens, Sandy, Like an Old Fashioned Waltz, and Rendezvous. Denny famously duetted with Robert Plant on "The Battle of Evermore" from Led Zeppelin’s IV in 1971. She tragically passed away in 1978, aged 31, from injuries sustained in a fall. #Folk #Covers #CoverVersions #SandyDenny
