Glen Travis Campbell (April 22, 1936 – August 8, 2017) was an acclaimed American country musician and actor, celebrated for an extensive catalogue of hit songs throughout the 1960s and 1970s and for hosting the CBS television variety show The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour from 1969 to 1972. Prior to achieving fame as a solo artist, Campbell was a highly respected session guitarist, contributing to numerous iconic recordings.
