Future House is a dynamic genre of house music that originated in the United Kingdom in the 2010s. It's characterized by its energetic nature, featuring prominent drops, a 4/4 beat, and a heavy bass presence. Future house blends elements from deep house, UK garage, and various other EDM styles.
The term "future House" was introduced by French DJ Tchami. He first used it to describe his 2013 remix of Janet Jackson's "Go Deep" on SoundCloud. In a 2015 interview, Tchami explained that "future house" was intended to signify any house music that hadn't yet been invented, rather than defining it as a genre.
