Description
During the Second World War, actor and scriptwriter Ernest Dudley created Dr Morelle 'The man you love to hate!' for a BBC Radio anthology programme 'Monday Night at Eight'.
Morelle was a haughty, cool criminal psychologist whose cases were as intriguing as he was irritating.
His secretary, Miss Frayle was the only person who could deal with him.
The character featured in many short stories, numerous novels and stage play 'Dr Morelle', co-written with Arthur Watkyn.
Radio 4 Extra has been broadcasting the 1957 run of 'Case For Dr Morelle' starring Cecil Parker/Sheila Sim.
When the radio series started in the 40's, Dennis Arundell starred in the title role.
Here is a link to a selection of 11 episodes:

(the radio dialogue at the time aka 'RP' is hilarious!)
