Danny Baker Controversy

On Nov 1st 2012 BBC London's presenter Danny Baker stuck his neck out and broadcast::
"The BBC asked me not to say anything just yet about axing best show on British Radio.
Why? Because it's embarrassing? Because they'll look bad?”
“By the way - BBC London and I are NOT "in discussion" about a new weekly show.
In fact, I haven't heard a single word from them at all.”
"Deep thanks to everyone who has responded about the radio.
We dwell amid pinheaded weasels who know only timid, the generic and the abacus. "
As David Robey, managing editor, explains here: Mr Baker's agent, Alex Armitage of Noel Gay (preferred procedure) HAD been in discussion since the Summer.
It appears there was either a communication breakdown, Danny Baker intended whipping up hysteria for himself or they've jointly conspired for publicity.
In this it succeeded, as there have been many headlines and to date 182,000 + tweets.
