FREEWAVE (aka Joshua Fortune) born in New Jersey, and raised in Miami. His love for music began early when he made his first mixtapes with a cassette tape and a boom box. Growing up in the midst of the sample hip-hop era of NYC and the Y2K electronic scene of Miami, FREEWAVE found his musical start as a beat-maker before pivoting to electronic music. Since then, he's seen success playing in the duo Twinz Beatz with his brother, playing in all the major cities, and has produced music for labels such as Universal Music, Ultra Records, Mixmash and Hardwell's Deal Records. Lately, FREEWAVE has been carving out a place for himself with his unique sound blending dusty boom-bap elements with tech-house and deep tribal grooves. With the recent launch of his traveling party PÔRTAL, curating DJ sessions & showcases you can expect transcending sets from thrilling selection of Dj's joining him on this house music movement.
