In 2013, DISTRICT started out as an idea to push the deeper side of forward-thinking techno music into the Singapore. The foundation of this project was based on the collaborative efforts between Yazyd and Haan, both of whom are definitely no strangers in the local electronic music scene. With more than a decade worth of experience between them, Yazyd and Haan had also played alongside a list of major names; both in clubs and for festivals.
DISTRICT is back from a hiatus with a fortnightly series of the finest local techno nights minus the flashy champagne bottles and club fluff. It is driven towards setting up a platform for local techno DJs/musicians to showcase their craft at raw new venues whilst focusing and spreading the love for good techno music within the region.
