Laura D, BoomBox-influenced, Cuban-descendant, Miami born & raised, brings flavor to the dancefloor. Growing up on 80’s classics “Security” by The Beat Club and “Get it Girl” by 2 Live Crew, she was molded at an early age with nothing but the best in b-boy dancefloor hits: MIAMI BASS. Laura D was instantly hooked on the 4x4-soaked break beats and electronic dance music. Two turntables later, Laura D quickly worked her way in the Miami scene. She was resident DJ on South Beach’s Club Jade and Downtown’s Players Club. Providing bass-infused sounds to the dance floor for over 15 years, Laura D has embedded herself in the South Florida electronic breaks scene. Laura D serves open-format beats for the first class South Florida lesbian event promoters, icandee and Pandora events. The Miami club circuit includes Score, Cash Only, Space, Kill Your Idol, Caffeina, Liquor Lounge, High Bar, Wynwood Walls, Vagabond, Nocturnal, and Aquagirl events, among others. http://www.soundcloud.com/DJLauraD
