DEPARTURE is Southern California's longest dance show at a length of 4 hours, Saturday nights (7-11 PM) on KX 93.5FM, based out of Laguna Beach in Orange County, California.
DEPARTURE embraces the breadth of modern electronic & dance music and brings it to the FM dial like no one else in the area, just as KX 93.5FM does with alt/indie rock. Advancing technology & the internet have brought forth new, exciting & talented artists whose original works, remixes & re-envisioned classics all blur genre lines, making "dance music" accessible to most everyone. Sadly, they're seldom heard on air. It's time to fix that.
Join the party. After all, isn't the point of dance music for everyone to have fun?
Brian Holst, the host of DEPARTURE and EDM Director at KX 93.5FM, has worked in college & FM radio for nearly 10 years. He may be reached at
