DJ Le Perv created San Francisco's Dark Drag Queer Dance Party - DARK ROOM. A favorite destination for San Francisco's queer and straight lovers of alternative dark beats. Housed at the iconic STUD Bar, we feature 2 Dark Drag shows, play new & vintage INDUSTRIAL/EBM, TECHNO, PUNK, GOTHIC, DARK ELECTRO/SYNTH & more. Dark Room DJs mix with CDJs, consoles or vinyl & all beats are manually mixed. NO AUTO ANYTHING.
I grew up listening to this music and have stayed the course. There's a lot that is fresh in the music scene, inspired by the bands I grew up. Our goal as a party is 1st = FUN and to expose individuals or those who are new to this music to the roots & introduce them to current bands. DARK and different, because you get main stream just about everywhere else. Some tend to over think the adjective, but it's overt and conveys my preference in music well. My party is QUEER/straight friendly, FULL OF STIMULATION FOR ALL THE SENSES, A PACKED DANCE FLOOR AND A SHIT TON OF DIY GLAM!
