Cobram Deejays is a DJ duo based in Rome, formed by Roy (Alessandro Omodeo) & Tanguy (Marco Della Chiara).
The name Cobram Deejays comes from our deep admiration for a key figure of Italian cinema and pop culture: Paolo Villaggio in one of his best character "Ragionier Ugo Fantozzi". Precisely, we borrowed Cobram from the character Dott. Ing. Gran-Mascalzon di Gran-Croch Visconte Cobram, the “Absolute Chief” of the office where Fantozzi in the film “Fantozzi contro tutti” (“Fantozzi against everybody” - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmzlHGjxBJI).
Our purpose is to offer to the people a sort of “complementary happenings” as two faces of the moon: an easy one made of original Funk-African-Latin-Asian songs and another one totally electronic made of live afro-remixes of Minimal-Tech tunes!
