Celluloid Symphonies is where movies and music collide - gloriously, obsessively and quite often at very high volume.
Join Gregory J Thorsby as he dives headlong into the music that makes cinema unforgettable: the scores that give you goosebumps, the songs that steal the scene, the strange little musical moments you haven’t thought about in years - and suddenly desperately need to hear again.
Each episode brings a guest, a stack of favourite film tracks and absolutely no guarantee the conversation will stay on the rails. Expect cinematic rabbit holes, musical obsessions, questionable recollections, passionate disagreements and the occasional revelation that changes the way you hear a film forever.
From Morricone to Vangelis, cult oddities to Hollywood blockbusters, sublime scores to magnificently bonkers needle drops - if it appeared in a film and made somebody feel something, it’s fair game.
