Bim bam! Lots of great oldies tonight, and for those of you keeping score, several musical themes make their virtual appearance on The Friday Night Oldies Party, Volume 6. For instance, in this episode we present a look at some of the “race” music that was banned on mainstream rock & roll radio stations in the 1950s, like Bullmoose Jackson’s “Big Ten Inch Record” and “It Ain’t the Meat It’s the Motion” by the Swallows (in itself somewhat of a suggestive band name!). As Eddie Cochran told us “…What I do I do my way or it won't be done at all”!
