What used to be known as the Pineapple Express is now referred to locally as an "atmospheric river", complete with rain, wind & stormy weather -- and even a bit of snow in the Vancouver area! As a continuation of our show "Couldn't Stand the Weather" a few years back, in Episode 442 we present songs that reflect meteorological conditions in a changing climate. Our show begins with a mashup called Billie Jean On The Storm, billed as Michael Jackson vs The Doors, followed with Lovin Up A Storm by departed rock & roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis. And as a nod to Terry Raible's tribute to Joe Cocker, we present Joe's version of Cry Me A River. In fact, a majority of tonight's tunes mention the word River, in a potpourri of musical eras, styles and genres. The Sky Is Crying...
